Maggie Was Here!

Thanks a ton to Maggie and Rob for working so hard on this as well as Clancy, Neil and all the folks who came out to support Maggie and the shop. No photos for proof but the Godfather and Mrs godfather also drove up and made a rare appearance. We were super stoked on the turnout.

Mike Hynson is a true surfing legend and we are thrilled to be able to work with him and his crew. The top four are HAND SHAPED BY THE MAN HIMSELF. The Bottom board is based off of a Steve Lis template which was slightly tweaked and updated by Hynson and Rich Pavel and still a worthy quiver candidate for anyone. I’d say get them while they’re hot but Mike’s work is always hot!!

Construction of the “Smiley” is complete. Very similar to Greg Liddle’s personal Boards, the Akula (shark in Russian) has a full hull outline with ample nose and tail rocker, bellied bottom and flex fin. $650

The White Wizard! 6\'2\

The Green Genie’s Brother Has arrived!! It’s the White Wizard! The Fineline MP is a functional hull shape with a workable tail. Two points to turn off of and small shark tooth side bites to help you at at the bottom of the wave SOLD!

5\'9\

The Fineline “Der Uberflaven” has double concave from nose to tail! A winged fish with shark tooth trailers behind the keels. The wings also channeled. This is Brian’s poor wave all star and a very unique approach to the fish. Keels are for reals. Pics and full review to come!

The Phantom Limb - Fineline 6\'2 Parabolic stub

Super Mysto! Newly named, “The Phantom Limb” Is a prototype from the mind and hands of Mr. Hilbers. The concept is small hull with big flex. RT, Myself and a few others will be taking this one out over the next few weeks. Pics and full review to come!

Recycled Sidewalk Surf Craft

Recycled skateboards or ridable art? We say art!!

Used skateboards re-shaped and re-equipped by our dear friend Neil Harrison under his own Stormy Monday brand. Each board is one of a kind, numbered, dated and branded with Niel’s own two hands. Surf the street or bust the bowl!

(Top Left: Neil, top right: “The Stingray”, bottom left: purple “Gravy Boat”, bottom right: “Gravy Boat” complete)

Fineline Update the “Akula”

Here are a few photos from Brian’s bay of the 6′10 Akula (Akula means “shark” In Russian). The Ukula is Fineline’s version of the displacement hull and is very similar in outline and rail to Liddle’s dirt models with slightly broader functionality as was designed in Liddle’s personal boards. Brian tells us that these come with a tad more nose rocker and a bit more wide space in the back half of the board. This board as well as a few other Finelines are due to arrive at Shelter in the coming weeks
